Generate an invite link
From the group settings, tap 'Invite.' Dolio creates a unique URL that anyone can use to join.

Drop the link in WhatsApp, iMessage, Slack, email — wherever your group already talks. The link works in any client.

Tapping the link opens Dolio (web or app), confirms which group they're joining, and adds them. No email verification, no waiting.
Real example
Sharing a Lisbon-trip invite in iMessage
You start a group called “Lisbon trip” for the four friends going. Tap Share, pick iMessage, send the link. Each friend taps it from their phone, lands on a confirmation screen (“Join Lisbon trip?”), and is in the group within seconds.
No verification emails, no “please install our app to continue,” no creating accounts before they know what the group is for.

Frequently asked questions
Can the link be reused?
Yes. By default a single link works for as many people as you want. You can also revoke it from group settings — useful when the group is closed.
What stops random strangers from joining?
The link is a long random token; it isn't guessable. Anyone who has the link is presumed invited. You can revoke it at any time, and admins can remove members who joined.
Does it work on mobile and web?
Both. The link opens the Dolio web app on desktop and the native app on iOS/Android (falling back to the web app if the user hasn't installed it).
Do new members see past expenses?
Yes. Once they join, they see the full group history — every expense, every settlement, every balance. Dolio is transparent by design.
