Frequently asked questions

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Profile tab → Delete account → tap “Send confirmation email”. Click the link we send you and your account is permanently removed. Your name on shared expenses is replaced with “Deleted user” so the remaining group members keep their balances.

How does splitting work?

Add an expense to a group, choose who paid and who shares it, and Dolio calculates each member's running balance with everyone else. You can split equally, by fixed amounts, or with custom weights.

Does Dolio handle payments?

No. Dolio only records who owes whom. Actual payment happens outside the app — through your bank, a payment app, or however you and your group settle up. After paying, mark the settlement in Dolio so the balance updates.

Can I use Dolio in my currency?

Yes. Each group has its own currency. Pick the one you'll use when you create the group.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen tap “Sign in with magic link” — we'll email you a one-tap sign-in link. No password needed.
