Not everyone at the table is going to install an app for a single meal. Ghost participants are placeholders you control — real people in the split, no account required.
When to use one
- A one-off guest who joined for a single expense.
- Someone who prefers to settle in cash later.
- A partner or child whose costs you cover but still want tracked.
Ghosts can't log in
A ghost participant has no account, so they can't see the group. You settle on their behalf when the time comes.
