Dolio for iPhone is on the App Store — and Android is in closed beta

Dolio's iOS app is live on the App Store as of July 21, 2026. Here's what shipped, what's in the Android closed beta, and how to join.

As of July 21, 2026, Dolio for iOS is live on the App Store. It's the same Dolio you may know from the web — same account, same groups, every expense and balance in sync — now as a native iPhone app. And if you're on Android: the Android app is real, it's in closed beta on Google Play, and this post explains how to get in.

What's in the iOS app

Everything in Dolio's free plan, which is free forever — no expense caps, no group limits:

  • Unlimited groups, members, and expenses
  • Every split type — equal, exact amounts, weighted shares, and itemized splits
  • Multi-currency groups (around 12 currencies, including EUR, USD, and GBP) for travel and cross-border households
  • One-tap settle with full history, plus transfer minimization so the group settles in as few payments as possible
  • Invite links and ghost participants — so you can split with people who never install anything

Pro is there too if you want it: receipt scanning — snap a receipt and let Dolio itemize and split it — plus spending analytics, at €2.49/month or a 7-day pass from €0.99.

Android is in closed beta

The Android app exists and runs the same feature set as iOS. We're testing it as a closed beta through Google Play before the public release. We're deliberately not promising a release date — the beta has to earn it first. One honest caveat for testers: Pro purchases aren't wired up in the Android beta yet, so the beta is effectively the (already unlimited) free plan.

How to join the Android beta

  1. Email support@dolio.org with the subject "Android beta" from the Google account you use on your phone.
  2. We add you to the tester group and reply with the Google Play opt-in link.
  3. Install Dolio from Google Play like any other app. Updates arrive through Play automatically.

The beta is free, and your account works across web, iOS, and the Android beta — anything you track today is already there on the next device you sign in on.

Platform availability at a glance

  • Web — available at app.dolio.org, no install required
  • iOS — released on the App Store on July 21, 2026
  • Android — closed beta on Google Play; public release upcoming, date not yet announced

We'll keep this page updated as availability changes. If you're still choosing an expense-splitting app, our dated, sourced comparisons — Dolio vs Splitwise and Dolio vs Tricount — are the honest place to start.

Questions about the launch

When will the Android app be publicly available?

We haven't committed to a date. The closed beta on Google Play comes first; once it's stable we'll release publicly and update this page.

Can I use Dolio on Android today?

Yes — the web app at app.dolio.org works in any mobile browser with no install. Your account and groups are the same everywhere, so everything you track on the web is already in place when the Android app reaches you.

Does the Android beta cost anything?

No. The beta is free, and Dolio's free plan is free everywhere. Pro is optional — and Pro purchases aren't available in the Android beta yet anyway.
